Oil City Opens Marina Campsites

The City of Oil City celebrated the grand opening of their new campsites with a ribbon cutting at the Oil City Marina in May. The campsites feature picnic tables, fire pits, garbage cans, and poles that can be used to hang a hammock or pitch a tent; and they are ADA compliant.

Community Development Director for Oil City, Kelly Amos-Ryen, shared her excitement about the project’s completion and her appreciation for partner agencies like the Oil Region Alliance, PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), and Bridge Builders Community Foundations. She also thanked the Oil City Public Works department for their hard work on the campsites.

These campsites are situated right along the Oil City trail section of the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail with gorgeous views, and are within walking distance of the Marina parking lot and bathrooms. They can be rented by calling the City of Oil City at (814) 678-3009
