Over the past two months, one thing has become even more clear to me: the Chamber’s work happens in so many different ways, often at the same time… and it never slows down!
Some of that work is highly visible: networking events, programs, ribbon cuttings, leadership development, education, advocacy, and partnerships. Other parts happen quietly behind the scenes: strengthening systems, refining processes, organizing operations, and making sure the foundation of the organization is strong for the future. Both matter.
As I’ve stepped into the role of President, a good portion of my time has been focused internally, helping ensure the Chamber remains organized, sustainable, and positioned to grow. While that work may not always be front and center, it’s essential to supporting our members and moving this organization forward with purpose.
At the same time, these first two months have been incredibly active. We’ve hosted and supported leadership programs, workforce and education initiatives, young professional events, community conversations, volunteer efforts, grand openings, and regional partnerships that brought together business leaders, educators, students, nonprofits, elected officials, and community members from across the region.
That’s what excites me most about this work: connection. The Chamber is at its best when it brings people together, creates opportunities, and builds momentum for the future of the Venango region.
I continue to believe deeply in the future of this community and in the importance of organizations willing to do the long-term work of supporting business and community growth.
As we head into a busy summer season, we’re not only gearing up for signature events like the Golf Outing & Trade Show and continuing preparations for the Oil Heritage and Cranberry Festivals; we’re also continuing to deliver and grow our core programs that serve businesses and the community every day.
Whether you sponsor, register a golf team, attend an event, volunteer, or simply stay engaged and help us spread the word within your network, your support is needed and helps us continue this work and strengthen our business community.
Thank you for the encouragement, conversations, and support during these first months in this role. I’m excited for what we are building together and for the future ahead. Let’s keep the momentum going!
