Kate Eckert has served on the Venango Chamber board for six years, and this is her final year. Kate chose to become heavily involved in the Chamber as soon as possible following the opening of her local chiropractic office and took an active participation in FLEX. She believes that involving herself with the Chamber early on really helped her business.
Kate grew up in Oil City and returned to the area to open her business office, Eckert Chiropractic, after receiving a Bachelor’s degree from Gannon and then continuing on to graduate school at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY. Eckert Chiropractic opened on February 14, 2011. She really enjoys going to extra trainings all over the country in order to bring quality chiropractic care to our rural community. In addition to her career, Kate also enjoys teaching yoga and doing workshops that blend chiropractic and rehab with yoga. She incorporates her family life into the business, bringing her eighteen month old daughter and her American Lab Bruno to the office every day.
Kate lives in Grove City, PA with her husband, daughter, and dog, but she is heavily involved in this community through the board and enjoying the outdoor opportunities the Venango Area has to offer. She loves participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, riding bikes on the local trails, and paddle boarding, which is one reason why she finds the Venango Area to be such a good place to work and play. Kate especially loves the opportunities provided by the water in the area. Another reason she loves this area is that she is able to find healthful opportunities for food locally, such as grass fed cows and local eggs and produce.
As a board member, Kate strives to be an ambassador. She enjoys informing the community of the many opportunities surrounding them and informing other local businesses of the benefits that she receives by being a member of the chamber. She wants people to know that they can stay here and be successful. She is pleased with the results of opening her own business in Venango County, and she wants others to know that they can have the same success here.
