VenangoREADY Instagram: Connections for Students, Alumni, Businesses, and Educators
In September, the VenangoREADY Program launched an Instagram account, primarily targeted for current students and program alumni. While originally updating program alumni by email, the program plans to use this model to send more frequent updates to alumni, as well as keeping them updated on the program in a more engaging way.
Posts on this account will include student and alumni spotlights, program spotlights, business spotlights, scholarship opportunities, employment opportunities, and infographics that will be helpful for students. The account is meant to serve as a helpful resource to students and alumni, as they begin entering the workforce. The account also plans to use Instagram Reels to keep students engaged in VenangoREADY related content. Additionally, the account should be followed by area businesses to keep them update on VenangoREADY related opportunities, as well as promoting their own events for students.
Through these spotlights and other forms of engaging content, the account also hopes to further break down the program’s six attributes, spotlighting each of them and providing real-life examples from employers to explain to further enforce the importance of workforce development to area students.
