eAcademy Holds Demo Day

eAcademy is a dual enrollment program for high school seniors, facilitated by Taylor Mosher, Entrepreneurship Program Manager from the Venango County Economic Development Authority.

The program runs throughout the school year and concludes in students pitching their business start-up to a panel of judges. In addition to a 5- minute pitch, students also create a business plan and prototype for judges to review. This year’s judges were Ashley Smith from Venango County Regional Planning, Deb Eckelberger from the Franklin Industrial and Commercial Development Authority, and Jess Carroll from the Northwest Commission.

At “Demo Day” held on May 19, Lauren Johnson, a Cranberry student and VenangoREADY designee, won first place which includes a $1,000 scholarship. Alexa Boley from Cranberry, Brooke Wagner from Titusville, and Emily Ripple from Rocky Grove also participated in the eAcademy program. Congratulation eAcademy students!
