The Venango County Commissioners recently appointed Dottie Tawney as the new Chief Clerk. Dottie steps into the role following the resignation of Bridey Shawgo, who left last month to pursue another opportunity.

Commissioner Sam Breene expressed enthusiasm about the appointment, noting, “It has been really great working with you already.” Tawney brings experience from her previous position in District Judge Andrew Fish’s office and is expected to bring a strong understanding of local government operations to her new role.
