Established in 1967 with just three staff members, Community Services has grown into a vital organization with 70 dedicated staff members, countless volunteers, and a far-reaching impact across multiple counties. This recognition reflects its unwavering commitment to creating stronger, healthier communities.
A Mission of Service
At the heart of Community Services’ success is its mission: to provide high-quality education, leadership, services, and resources that promote wellness across all stages of life. In 2024 alone, Community Services touched the lives of over 15,000 individuals, distributed more than 128,000 essential items, and facilitated nearly 6,800 family services. Through its programs, such as emergency aid, housing, and early childhood education, the organization has remained a cornerstone of hope for those facing challenges.
Innovative Programs with Lasting Impact
The organization’s innovative approach to service delivery has set it apart. Programs like Venango Early Head Start and Welcome Every Child provide critical resources to young families, ensuring children receive the care and support they need for a healthy start in life. Housing initiatives, including the Elk Street Apartments, offer safe and affordable living spaces for individuals recovering from mental illness, helping them achieve stability.
