Clarion County Community Bank Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Travis Heiser, President and Chief Executive Officer for Clarion County Community Bank (CCCB) announced that the Board of Directors has named Cheryl Shreckengost as the new Chief Financial Officer for CCCB.

The announcement of Ms. Shreckengost’s appointment honors her twenty-one-year career with the company since it opened in 2004.

Travis Heiser states, “Cheryl was part of the initial team that worked behind the scenes to organize and launch the bank since its inception. Her knowledge and dedication have been instrumental in our growth and success over the years. She started as head of the Accounting Department and soon took on Employee Relations and other roles as the bank grew. For more than two decades, Cheryl has been an indispensable member of the bank’s finance leadership team, and she understands the company inside and out. Her sharp intellect, wise judgment, and financial brilliance make her the perfect choice to be Clarion County Community Bank’s next CFO.”

Prior to her career at Clarion County Community Bank Cheryl worked for New Bethlehem Bank for many years and in the private sector, all in accounting and finance. In her role as Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Shreckengost will be responsible for Accounting, Employee Relations, Benefits, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Investor Relations.

Ms. Shreckengost commented, “I have been with the bank since the beginning. I started during the organizational phase in November 2003 and assisted with the bank opening in January 2004 along with others that are still employed with the bank. I am honored and humbled to be named CFO and deeply appreciative of the opportunity. I have learned a great deal over the years and welcome the opportunity to assist our new CEO, Mr. Heiser, and others as we continue our growth efforts while serving our customers’ financial needs.”

Heiser added, “We are pleased to welcome Cheryl into this key leadership role. I have thoroughly enjoyed working side by side over the past months and look forward to collaborating closely with her as we continue building on our solid foundation and driving growth in the markets and communities we serve.”

Congratulations, Cheryl!
