Chamber Beliefs: We Believe That Everyone is Responsible for Leadership

by Susan Williams, President/CEO

The debate regarding whether leaders are born or made continues to this day. Traditionally, we tend to attribute the title of leader based on traits such as strong personalities, titles, or skills. Consequently, we expect the individual who takes on the leadership role to fulfill certain responsibilities, while the others are considered followers.

As we graduate the fifth class of Leadership Venango, we’re reminded of the importance of identifying the qualities within us that provide influence to others. This responsibility applies whether we’re assuming a leadership role at work, in our community, or at home.

It’s essential to pay attention to who looks to us for answers or guidance in our daily lives. This is where our leadership journey begins. Join us in embracing our collective responsibility to lead by example and make a positive impact in every aspect of our lives.
