Many businesses are battling expenses with rising inflation. Your copier may have a hidden feature that could assist you in lowering your printing volume. Many of the current multifunction devices contain a code system. When enabled, you can assign specific codes to each employee, department, or client. This allows the business to track production. If warranted, a limit/allotment can be placed on selected users. When employees take note that “someone is monitoring production” volume immediately decreases.
Another benefit of this system is that it avoids print jobs that are not retrieved or lost. In larger office environments many times print jobs are accidentally picked up or moved by other workers. This requires the job to be printed a second time. When set up properly every print will require a code, and the system will hold the job in memory until it is picked up by the sender.
Even a small reduction in copies/prints every day can result in big savings every month!
